About the Role

Okavango Foods Limited is seeking a highly motivated Quality Control & Projects Intern to join our growing team. This is not a typical internship – it is a hands-on, high-responsibility role that will allow the successful candidate to contribute to the creation, implementation, and management of our Quality Management System (QMS) using our ERP platform, while also supporting product development and other critical projects.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in quality control, ERP-driven process management, and project leadership in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Successful performance may lead to a full-time position with the company.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the design, documentation, and implementation of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  2. Ensure compliance with internal standards, ZABS guidelines, and food safety requirements.
  3. Conduct quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  4. Work closely with production, procurement, and R&D teams to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  5. Manage and track quality-related projects and product development initiatives through the ERP.
  6. Generate and analyze ERP-based quality and project reports for management decision-making.
  7. Support audits, inspections, and corrective action implementation.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree (or final-year student) in Quality Control, Food Science, Food Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
  2. Strong interest in food safety, quality assurance, and ERP systems.
  3. Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  4. Proactive, eager to learn, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  5. Good communication and teamwork skills.

What We Offer

  1. A challenging, real-world internship with responsibilities that matter.
  2. Full exposure to the use of ERP for QMS and project management.
  3. Mentorship from experienced professionals in food production and quality management.
  4. A clear career growth path: successful interns may transition into full-time employment.
